Mark Smith

Mark has a true passion for video production and editing, experimenting with computer image manipulation from an early age. Mark studied video and media production at college gaining a good working knowledge of video production techniques including camera work, lighting, audio and editing. Since leaving college Mark undertook a vast amount of freelance work to build his skills and video production experience working for companies such as Bradford & Bingley, Modus and Complete Video Solutions.
Mark has had a success with a number of his own projects and in 2006 he filmed and edited a documentary about the Great Yorkshire Bike Ride, an annual charity event that has raised over £1 million for charity. The documentary has raised awareness of the event and helped raise extra money for charity through DVD sales. The documentary was selected for broadcast on the Community Channel in May 2007.
In April 2006, Mark joined the Video and Multimedia team at the University of Leeds as a Video Editor and has worked on a number of large scale productions including a number of promotional DVDs aimed at international students for the Engineering department, a documentary about the celebrated Armley Schulze organ and a Hepatitis C awareness DVD "You, Me and Hep C" that is being distributed to prisons around the country. You, Me and Hep C received a Highly Commended award at the BUFVC Learning on Screen awards in 2008.
Steven White

Steven has been a keen photographer and film maker from a very young age, when he filmed and directed short films with friends.
Upon leaving school Steven joined the Film Unit at the University of Leeds as a Trainee Film Assistant progressing to senior camera operator. The post provided an excellent grounding in all aspects of professional educational film. As technology changed Steven developed new skills, first in video production and then digital production.
Throughout Steven's years of experience he gained vast knowledge of multi camera studio and location production techniques. Projects Steven has worked on cover a range of topics such as medical theatre operations, manufacturing plant, school promotional work and a very diverse range of educational topics.
Steven has excellent communication skills and is adept at working directly with customers consulting on project briefs, planning and shooting projects through to final editing.
